You can become quite involved in the digital scrapbook community but you become even more so involved when you are on Creative Teams. Many of the CTMs become friends and try to support one another. With that, many of the best designers have come together to support Mary (marnel). She was a former HoneyBee and she just lost her daughter, Charlie, to a tragic accident. This beautiful collab features designers from many stores & is available for purchase at Scrap Orchard, MScraps, & Sweet Shoppe Designs. All of the proceeds (minus paypal fees) will go directly to the Charlie Gonzalez Memorial Fund which will help her family pay the hospital & funeral costs.

If you click on the ScrapOrchard link, it'll take you directly to the kit in the store. From there, you can read Mary's blog post about the tragic incident. You can also just donate directly to the Memorial Fund. The details are also there.

i'm a few days late but i'm back to show off my new CT! Jady Day Studio had a CT call a few weeks ago and i HAD to apply. i promised myself that i wouldn't join anymore teams but i made an exception for her. her products were my very first purchases. i still have them even (Autumn in Hooville & Jolly Jingle Days)! her last CT call was in december/january and i was dying to know what this was all about. i explored around the stores/forums/galleries and it was all downhill from there! anyways, she retired but has now started back up again and is selling at Scrap Matters! i was one of the very lucky ones to get chosen. so, now that i've rambled, here's her new releases...

i swore up and down that i wouldn't join any more Creative Teams but when this designer had a CT call, i *had* to apply! she was my very 1st digiscrap purchase back in december. i fell in love with all her products and was so sad when she retired from designing. she couldn't stay retired though and has now joined up with another store. here's her new release, coming tomorrow-

that's right, a new designer is coming!! i'm sooo excited about this. i stumbled upon her designs a month or so ago and have been in love ever since. i was pretty giddy when i found out that she's coming to our store!

missed the original deadline for Digiscrapapalooza? i did too but the queen bees have extended it to november 7! that helps me out and my odds of actually going are pretty high. i'd love to see anyone there so let me know if you're planning on going!

I know it's late, but yeah...oh well ;) Here's what I scrapped this past week with this weeks' Fresh Fruit at Scrap Orchard!

First up is SuzyQ Scraps. She's released calendars! You can purchase the templates for them or she's even made some that you can purchase & print. Either way you want it. I scrapped with the "2011 Calendar Topper Templates".

i'm guesting for Amanda Heimann this month & i'm soo excited! she teamed up with Jennifer Fox for this new release & it's PERFECT for me! check out "Toothless".

i even had a picture from me working for this LO! this little girl was a favorite patient of mine.

Amy Stoffel has this super shabby kit out & i love it! "Shabby Summer" also has a coordinating alpha.

SuzyQ Scraps has been working long & hard for her new collection. it's all about babies! "Lil' Bundle" also had an Add-On, Milestone Wordstrips, Coordinating Bonus Alphas (there's already 2 in the kit!), & Digital Stamps. it's seriously HUGE! it's full of muted colors which make it perfect for baby boy or girl.

(both layouts are using new templatez from NeeNee Designs that are also released this week)

i'm back to show you all the great kits that are being released today & those that i've been working with this past week. if you hadn't heard yet, Scrap Orchard's been down this entire week! sunday night, they started making the transition to a new server & the soon-to-be-ex server shut down before the transition was complete. this has not only affected SO, but also several other digi-scrap sites. unfortunately, there hasn't been much communication with that server so they've had to start rebuilding their site. good news, is that SO should be up tomorrow! everyone's waiting as patiently as possible to reveal all the latest kits (& i can't wait to show you either!). so hold tight for just a little while longer & thanks for being as patient as possible with this whole ordeal!

with that being said, here's the new releases!

organizing those pictures!

now that we're in the 'digital' age of pictures, i'm sure there's lots of people who have LOADS of pictures on their computer. i had a friend ask me today how i organize mine & thought that i'd give you peek into how i do it. you might all be different, but here's my way.

first, for those who know me, i like things in order. 4 can't go before 5 & the letter 'E' can't go before the letter 'B', that's just how it is. i need things in order, whether it be alphabetical, numerical, etc...(just check my movies & all my folders in my computer). with that, i figured the best way to organize my pictures, would be in order. makes sense, right? so if you open up 'My Pictures' folder, my subfolders are all the years (i also have Adobe for my TIFF & PSD files, an etsy folder, & folders for my finished scrapbooking pages-but we're not talking about those).

in my year folders, i have subfolders for all the months. i also have additional folders for my P365 & any videos that i might take.

in my month's folder, i have all my pictures in it that were taken during that month. i also have subfolders to hold pictures from a certain event (ie-birthdays, park days, messes, etc). anything that i want to scrap about that has more than 1 picture usually has a folder for it to all go in. that helps me differentiate between all the pictures.

once i've scrapped about that event/folder, i usually rename it & add '+' to the folder's name (ie-'rian & daddy' becomes 'rian & daddy+'. that's my little trick to remember what i've scrapped about & helps me see what i still need to scrap. so there's how i do it! how do you do it??

i'm bringing this a little late but better late than never! Lyndsay Riches has teamed up with Meghan of Wild Dandelion Designs for this beautiful collab!! 'Mommy Deerest' is a cute take on a sweet sentiment.

Liz has created another pack of background templates. "Background Templates II" really helps get the creativity flowing. my background papers always seem boring to me & these really help me out!

Oh and another announcement! SuzyQ Scraps held a QT call & i am now a part of her blogging team! i'm pretty excited :) i LOVE her designs!

this past week has FLOWN by! first off, last saturday, i found out that i'm a HONEY BEE at scrap orchard! i was seriously giddy. my husband was laughing so hard over how i was reacting. scrap orchard is my favorite digi-scrapping store so this is an honor to me! i'll be a HB for at least 2 months so i'm going to enjoy it as much as possible lol with that being said, i have alot of goodies to tell you about!

i've been staying super busy with the Supreme Team at GDS. There's a beautiful kit out now that's perfect for those all itching for spring (that would definitely be me!). i let rian out on our patio for a little bit a few days ago. it was finally clear of snow & was warmer out (we wear shorts & t-shirts when it's 50 degrees in utah haha). she was loving it! that's where my inspiration came from and i had to use my fave pic from the stack i took.
